This is the blog for the After-School Zone. We created this to give people a forum to talk about games, and to stay in contact with people even if you're not at the Library playing games.
Phillip works part-time at the Library and goes to college full-time.
Allison works at the Library full-time.
Phillip's favorite games are: the Tekken series, the NES Ninja Gaiden trilogy, the Metroid series, the Metal Gear series and anything Atari Jaguar-related. He generally likes RPGs, shooters, action-platform, and fighting games. Phillip wouldn't waste his money on an average game if he could buy an outstanding one.
Allison's favorite games are RPGs, rhythm games, or sims. So she likes the Sims, Guitar Hero and Rock Band, and a bunch of RPGs. She doesn't mind average - or even lame - games as much as Phillip does.
I'm really excited about New Super Mario Bros. for Wii. This game will add 4-player co-op and looks fun. No online play though. This would be a great game for After-School Zone.
It's all about the new halos and left for dead 2. But other than those I'm looking at assasins creed two with the new ability to hold more that one weapon. But other than those games I don't know what's out there to play.
I was initially disappointed when I heard about Left 4 Dead 2. The first game just came out last year, and Valve (the creators) expects us to pay full price for what many expect to be an expansion pack. I'm still not too sure, but it's hard to believe that Valve will not put out quality game due to their great track record (Half-Life, Countertrike, etc.).
About Halo ODST, I think they're trying to appeal in large part to the players that ditched the series after Halo 1 due to how unhappy they were with the changes in Halo 2 and 3. I've never really understood these players, so I'm not sure if it's going to be sucessful in that way. No doubt it's going to sell millions of copies though. To me this game is another Halo, and I'm sure Bungie will make it a good game.
