Welcome to the Library's game blog!

As many of you have heard, the Library has created a blog about the game-related activities from the After-School program. This is going to be a place to talk about anything that goes on in the Dona Benicia room, to voice your opinion on different games, and to talk about what kinds of things we want in the After-School Zone.

Here are some guidelines to keep in mind while posting:

1. No personal attacks! If you have a problem with someone, don't put it on the blog - talk to Phillip about it.

2. Identify yourself! Please add your first name, initials or gamertag to your posts, so we know who's posting. Do not use your full real name on the internet!

3. Remember that people of all ages will be looking at this, so please avoid images or language that might be considered offensive.

4. Only one name/account per person. If you are found to be posting under more than one name then all of them may be banned.

5. Do NOT discuss or link to anything that is illegal. This includes roms, emulation(do not ask for help on obtaining roms or getting them to work), mod chips, pirated games, copyrighted material in any form, etc. Also, talking about where or how to do it is prohibited. These posts will be deleted without notice, and/or the violator may be banned.

6. No taunting or flame baiting allowed. This means slight name calling to provoke flame posts after you post. An example of this would be posting on how "Killzone 2 is way better than Halo, and anyone who thinks otherwise, is a moron." That is not allowed.

7. Trolling is classified as sitting on a message board and posting nothing productive. This includes posting with the intention of being insulting towards someone when it's entirely unprovoked. Some people also post with the intention of doing nothing but irritating the mods. That accomplishes nothing and wastes too much bandwidth. Trollers who can't post anything productive will be banned at any time an administrator feels you are abusing the system.

8. Don't derail a topic to talk about what you want to talk about. It's rude and might just land you an infraction. If you have suggestions for something to discuss, send us a message.

9. No quote pyramids. If you don't know what this means, you're probably not someone who does it. Ask Phillip sometime, if you're interested.

Remember, non-compliance with any of these rules can result in an infraction or a ban. More to the point, we will delete any comments that violate these guidelines.

Thanks to shoryuken.com, by the way; we adapted a lot of our rules from there.
