This is the blog for the After-School Zone. We created this to give people a forum to talk about games, and to stay in contact with people even if you're not at the Library playing games.
Phillip works part-time at the Library and goes to college full-time.
Allison works at the Library full-time.
Phillip's favorite games are: the Tekken series, the NES Ninja Gaiden trilogy, the Metroid series, the Metal Gear series and anything Atari Jaguar-related. He generally likes RPGs, shooters, action-platform, and fighting games. Phillip wouldn't waste his money on an average game if he could buy an outstanding one.
Allison's favorite games are RPGs, rhythm games, or sims. So she likes the Sims, Guitar Hero and Rock Band, and a bunch of RPGs. She doesn't mind average - or even lame - games as much as Phillip does.
Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing will be on Monday if I don't forget. From everything I've read about it so far, it seems to be a very good racing game. Maybe the best kart racer other than Mario Kart.
Yeah, sure Brandon. Unless Kevin or someone else has any objection, I think I'll move it to Tuesday.
Actually, I discovered another Wii game this weekend, Just Dance by Ubisoft. Personal opinion aside, this is one of those games that will really mix things up. The difference maker I think is that it may appeal to female gamers, who are underrepresented in the room.
So, Just Dance on Monday and Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing on Tuesday.
Monster Hunter Tri demo comes out officially at Gamestop tomorrow. Why is this important? Tri is one of the biggest Wii releases of the year quality-wise. In addition, it'll have free 4-player online co-op with voice chat, keyboard support, and NO friend codes. Check it out.
ok if any one didn't catch the Charlie vs beau smash match today it was epic. pretty much beau was messing with Charlie at the last part of the match jumped of the stage thinking that he would go out in a blaze of glory and at the last second he lost by committing suicide. but thats not all he also decided through his best thinking to do it in the last second in the 5-1 count down. there is a lesson in this children if you show boat karma just might come around faster than you expect. and you die
I think Alvin has, but I didn't keep good records during that time.
So I'll be bringing the HD Box Pro for use in the Brawl tourney today. What is HD Box Pro exactly? It allows video sources that output in component to be used on displays that support VGA input. It then takes this image, and scales it to the native resolution of the display. It also supports upscaling of 480i signals. What does this mean exactly? Well, it means that we can use consoles like PS2, GameCube, and Wii on the library's computer monitors even though they don't really support VGA output or 480i . So the Xbox won't be the only consoles on the monitors anymore. One hitch in this idea is that the GameCube component video cable is extremely rare, so finding one at a cheap price will be a bit of a challenge.
Except for the fact that one screen was bugging out, everything turned out okay. It worked on Tuesday in color, but I don't know what happened Yesterday. It was almost retro. I felt like I was in Timeless River in Kingdom Hearts 2 or something. Haha. :)
phill i couldnt take it apart so bring your tools on wed. if i could it i'll post it how i'll take it apart in the library okay if you dont want to do it just post it okay
