This is the blog for the After-School Zone. We created this to give people a forum to talk about games, and to stay in contact with people even if you're not at the Library playing games.
Phillip works part-time at the Library and goes to college full-time.
Allison works at the Library full-time.
Phillip's favorite games are: the Tekken series, the NES Ninja Gaiden trilogy, the Metroid series, the Metal Gear series and anything Atari Jaguar-related. He generally likes RPGs, shooters, action-platform, and fighting games. Phillip wouldn't waste his money on an average game if he could buy an outstanding one.
Allison's favorite games are RPGs, rhythm games, or sims. So she likes the Sims, Guitar Hero and Rock Band, and a bunch of RPGs. She doesn't mind average - or even lame - games as much as Phillip does.
This space is intended to let people know if there are any changes to the usual schedule of the program. If the room is closed and there's no announcement here, call me on it. I'd really like this to be a definitive resource.
There is a John Adams-based event in the room. I suggest all of you attend if you'd like have fun participating in crafts and such, while learning a little about our former president at the same time. So there will be no games today.
Sorry guys, I got sick over the Thanksgiving weekend, so there will be no games once again. That also means no tournament this week either. I should be in tomorrow though so I'll see you then. I hope everyone had a better Thanksgiving than me. :)
In case you didn't see the flyer or weren't around when I told everyone, or weren't a recipient of the many text messages that went around, there will be no games today. You could still come, and enjoy the gift-wrapping program available though.
Don't forget about games tomorrow. From 2-5. We'll be having the Brawl tourney, and if there's enough people the Halo tourney as well. See you there everyone!
The city is holding an Earth Day event on Thursday in the room. So, NO GAMES ON THURSDAY.

ReplyDeleteYou're so speedy, Phillip! I was just about to post about the tournament being cancelled, but you beat me to it. AA

ReplyDeleteSorry I didn't post anything sooner. Phillip is sick, so there won't be games today. AA
ReplyDeleteBecause of an event tonight in the Dona Benicia room, there won't be After-School Zone this afternoon. AA
ReplyDeleteJust so we're clear, no After-School Zone means no tournament today also. Brawl weekly will resume next week.
